Its really hard to change a lifestyle you've been following your whole life, and its even harder to change your diet habits. I've been there myself , when I wanted to change to a vegan or at least a vegetarian lifestyle. But don't worry, there are some tricks and tips that you can follow to make the transition easier!
◈Small Steps
Don't try to cut all the animal products at once. Its really hard to give up burgers,sweets ,especially ice-cream all at once. Try to cut the meat first, give yourself two or three months before you move on and cut more animal products off your diet. After that, cut the milk, cheese and eggs. Don't search every single one product you buy for milk and eggs, just cut the direct consumption. Don't puss yourself and worry about labels and ingredients from the start. These things will get to you naturally. Remember its not just a diet choice. Its a path, its a journey. After you have cut the direct consumption of meat, milk cheese and eggs for at least 6 months you can move on to labels. Try to buy products with simple and little ingredients. Going vegan doesn't mean chemicals and weird ingredients.
After that you can move on to other products such as make up, pillows, shampoos. Try to find cruelty-free companies and again, stuff with the minimum processing.
◈Inspiration
If you find yourself struggling to follow the vegan lifestyle, there are a lot of people you can follow on social media that will make you passionate about the subject. From recipes, to vlogs, hauls and inspirational talks and the list goes on! Just search your favorite social media, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and surround yourself with wonderful people that will remind you daily how awesome it is to be a vegan.
◈Remind Yourself
Remind yourself why it is so important to be a vegan. Rewatch documentaries, read some scientific researches about veganism. It might be hard to watch what the animals are going through at the meant industry (and not only) but you need to remember. Don't forget why its so important to stick with your first choice of becoming a vegan.
◈Friends
This is a hard topic. Its really helpful to have a few vegan friends to help each other on the transition. But its not that easy, I personally don't have any friends or relatives that are vegan, but you can make awesome friends online! I can be your friend! Its the next best thing!
